A day in bangkok

Fai and I spent the day today I’m Bangkok. There is an area in Bangkok where there are 4 malls, each bigger than Towson town center, in very close proximity. One is a very upscale mall. Interesting stores where you can buy a lotus or a maserati. Another store had several cars, porshe, Ferrari and more. Back home we usually see Toyota, not these high end performance vehicles.

So to get to the malls we had to take a cab ride, which was conveniently provided to us by the hotel. They took us to the metro. We rode the metro to another metro. And then a total of 7 stops later we are at the shopping zone.

We did a ton of walking. We got our phone activated. We walked around some more.

We ate lunch at sukishi restaurant. Great place to eat. I had some of the best BBQ chicken that we got to cook ourselves using the Korean grill. We just cooked it right at the table. Fai is a master chef. She kept the food cooking and taking care of me making sure I was well fed. For dessert we had fried tempura red bean ice cream. That was so good.

Finally we met some of fai’s friends and shared a banana paradise dessert together. It was buttered bread covered with vanilla ice cream, cool whip, and chocolate syrup. Delicious!

Now we are back at the hotel and I’m about to go swimming in the pool with my new swimsuit we bought at the mall.

Its a hot one today. 96degrees. Its 628pm on Monday.

Tomorrow AM we fly home to ubon ratchitani.

Countdown to our next trip to Thailand begins now!

It’s that time again! Fai and I are going to embark on another incredible journey to Thailand. We leave soon early in the afternoon and we will be arriving late in the evening on Sunday (because of the dramatic time difference).

As i did last time, I’ll be posting photos and writing posts to my blog here for everyone to read.
